warm starting issues

warm starting issues
i had just bought my rx8 its a 2004 with 129,000 runs great no power issues at all no funny noises, nothing. comes with a stack of mantinence paperwork. ill drive for however long it could be 2 hours or 15 minutes an ill shut off car an it strugges turning so i have to wait about 15 min for it to start. any idea what the problem is? some ppl say coils, some say starter? an the rare few say motor but it runs flawless when its on. please help i would apreciate it

You just mentioned all the probable causes... some ppl start with simple coils/wires/plugs, then replace starter, only to find out their engine is shot. Some people fix the problem with the parts mentioned above. Some ppl start with a compression test on the motor and go from there. Figure out which direction you wanna go- Good luck

Ah3506, how many rx8s do you own or how many have you driven? Now figure out how many of those you KNOW had a good engine in them because you compression tested it. If the number you come up with is 0, then you may not actually know your engine is low on power.
Jade already said everything you should do. Most people replace coils/wires/plugs when they buy the car since they do not know its history. Since you have this stack of receipts look through them and see whats been done to it and when. Coils and plugs get replaced about every 30k miles by most people. Also check this paperwork to see if the engine has ever been replaced, if so then chances are you have a re-manufactured one in there.

Update I changed the coils and spark plugs an the issue was still there. I changed the starter an that was the issue! Engine good! It was a rebuilt one from autozone 100$
