Has anyone tried the G2 paint kit for their calipers?

 

Yes, it's the best caliper paint without doubt - easy brush on - stinks though, wear a good vapor mask or you'll go brain dead for a time.

Yes I have the G2 paint system...Yellow. It is the best caliper paint because it is a two part paint mix with a catalyst. It does have a glossy aftermarket look too.

G2 is good stuff. Used it to paint the rusty hubs also. But, it is critical that whatever you paint is squeaky clean of all brake dust and any other contaminants. Use a wire brush and the brake cleaner that comes with the kit. I'm getting some chipping on one caliper, apparently where I didn't get the contaminants off.

 

I used the G2 in blue on my SS when I put on my winter wheels. Really worked on cleaning it up first, multiple shots with the cleaner and wire brush. Two coats gave a nice gloss. I must have done a pretty good job because the calipers got throught the winter and road salt looking like I just painted them.

 

I need t get some black for the hub centers ....

 

I use high temperature engine paint, looks really good on my car.

 

Yeah I just bought the G2 brake caliper paint and it looks fabulous. The smell is something else though !!
