Two issues: cold stuttering and possible worn clutch?

So two questions. My car has been acting a little funny lately and i'm not sure if i'm just making a big deal out of nothing or if there is legitimately something going on.

2004 RX8 GT
6 speed
62,xxx
mods are listed in sig

First issue:
I know to properly warm up my car before i run it hard but lately i feel like the car has been a lot more sensitive to being cold. I usually start the car up, let it go through it's warm-up procedure (Idle drops down to a consistent 1.2-1.5k -- i cant remember what it is) then i take off really easy and never hit over 4k until it's up to full temp.

Just the past couple of weeks or so i've noticed that if i even go a touch over 4k while the car is cold it chokes and stutters. Even if the temp needle is almost in the middle it will still cause it to act up.

It has been colder the past couple of weeks but i just want to make sure this isn't a sign that something is on it's way out...

Second issue:
I could just be randomly acquiring a different driving technique which is causing this but i noticed recently that if i'm in the wrong gear (too high) and i just try to ease my way up to speed rather than down shift i get the shuttering and jerking that feels like my clutch is slipping. I can't make it stop by adjusting the throttle so i just down shift and i'm off.

Is my clutch going out?

1.) What happens when the car is fully warmed up? The car automatically try's to limit the revs when it's cold, but not when it's about to be fully warmed *my 07 doesn't at least...*.

2.) I get the same problem with sitting in rather high RPMs *6k and upish* and trying to be easy with the throttle and getting bucking.

I didn't think the car started limiting until 6k. It's stuttering anywhere between high 3k's and 4.5k most of the time when cold. When it's fully warmed i have zero problems. The car runs pretty good although i have noticed some odd idling. The only thing i know i need to replace are the battery terminals (which i should be doing today when i get home )

That's really odd that you'd get bucking at high RPM's. Mine is definitely bucking at low RPM's like when i'm putting around my apartment complex in the morning on my way to work. It doesn't matter how smooth i am with the inputs i get gentle bucking more often than not.
