Transmission Input Shaft Leak

Just got off the phone with the dealer, after i put the car in for service and oil leak, turns out to be the transmission input shaft, anyone else have this problem before?

the service manager told me they took the transmission out and is inspecting it right now, hopefully they dont mess anything up

How many miles do you have on your 8? I'm assuming it's an AT as well?
