Traded in my AT for a MT.....Loving it!!!!!
I traded in my Titanium gray AT for a Silver MT....and I couldn't be happier!!! There is such a diference in the power. Its not mind blowing different, but a difference none the less. I'm still in breaking in stage so i only took it to 8500 once. At the dealer they tried to put me in a "Dealer's Demo" that the manager used until it reached 5000 miles. It drove really rough, I'm sure it's been totally ragged, and not really broken in properly. So, taking your time and breaking it in right does make a difference. Well, just wanted to let you guys know...all the things i wanted to do on my old 8 (AT) I got on this one.... fog lights, rockers, 6 cd changer oh...and bout 40 more horeses!!!! See you on the road.....
PS- no offense to my AT bro's, but that "little" AT section on this board gets very lonely, i had to make the jump.

I guess they needed to get rid of it cause of the incoming 06's. They gave me $20,000 on my old AT. I got a great deal. My new car was 24 and change. I worked for about 4 hours to get it though. (They were waiting for us to leave so they could lock up..lol) But, it was totally worth it. I wanted to do so much to my AT but I really couldn't, I don't think any of the add ons (intake, pipes, etc..) would've made a bit of difference. For the money I put down I got what i didn't have, not including the new tranny....6 disc changer, flares, front dam, xenon lights, fog lights.....new car smell And by the way my old car had 13,000 miles on it and it was an 05 also...Peace

congrats on the MT! i did the same thing! i traded my AT 04 silver 8 for a MT 05 white 8 like 6 months ago and im loving it too. i used to have 22,000 miles on my silver one. i paid about $6,000 for the trade in and i think it was worth it cause it was for a brand new one. also i wanted a white one ever since i saw it. well good luck with the car and have a good one.

Stuck in a love triangle
I know exactly where you're coming from. Good job man. I spent basically the same as you did when I swapped.
Not sure if you already know this, but there's an 06 automatic coming out in a month or so that's getting a minor horsepower increase and two more gears, but it's going to have the same 7500 RPM cap as yours did, and still won't accelerate as fast as the manual. Based on that knowledge, I am surprised they gave you as much as they did for your automatic, since it'll be completely obsolete as soon as the 06 automatic is available. You're very lucky. Again, great job.
