oil grade and type

I am told that you should not use synthetic oil in the rx8, can someone please advise if this is correct and why? thanks

oh boy...

Drummer: this issue has been beaten to death on these forums. If you do a Search, you'll find all kinds of info.
Many people here do use synthetic.

My personal preference:
Castrol 5w-20
Synthetic: Royal Purple 5w-20.

I've been using Mobil1 5W-30 for 2 years, but I recently STOPPED using it!

I've switched to Mobil1 5W-20 :D
