TPMS not working?
not that this is a problem since i want it to be this way but i just installed my snow tires and i was expecting the TPMS to come on...well they didn't...i KNOW these tires don't have a TPMS built in, i spoke with a very knowledgeable Tire Rack guy and plus these aren't that expensive (Blizzack WD-50)...what's the deal? i know the TPMS work with teh stock tires cuz as soon as it hit 30 degrees here they came on and alerted me my tires were low...i filled them up and the light went away

Im not too sure about this, I have read a little bit about this before. but as you somewhat stated, I THINK you have to get sensors for each set you buy...which cost mucho bucks....if your not loaded...haha which I AM NOT

It may have been after a day of driving ? ?
Now it comes on after about 10 minutes of driving.

After a while it remembers you don't have them installed and has the solid ( ! ) symbol all the time... but no beeping or flashing.
I was pleased to learn that this caused no malfunction of my ABS or DSC... I recall hearing/reading that it would screw with those systems not having TPMS in the green.

I had posted earlier that when my dealer installed my set of winter tires with aftermarket wheels, they were told by Mazda in Tech Assistance Reference 322819 that ABS, DSC, and TCS would all malfunction, in addition to the TPMS. This is incorrect, of course, and the service manager said he would contact the Mazda Tech Line and try to have the information corrected. I wanted the service department to follow through since they passed the bogus information to me without questioning it. In two months, it hasn't happened. This incorrect information could be given to other dealers, and could misinform other customers.
