I use the HP 1010 on my '06. It's excellent and I highly recommend it.

The biggest problem with aftermarket filter is the Relief valve pressure rate.

HP-1010, Mobil1 110, and many others of the same size WILL FIT. but its probably not the best thing to use.

You're at Indiana and your local dealer dont stock them? wow. Hmm, how about ordering them online? its about 6-7 bux each. buy 10 and it will last you very long.

For now, I'm not sure I'd use anything other than stock oil filters on 09s. By the way, I retail this at $6.50 each vs $8.42 from most dealers. The savings do add up when they're purchased in quantity.

Seems that I recall reading that the bigger than OE filters don't fit the 09+ engine because of the new location

maybe Ash can verify it for us

Where is the link on your web site for the filters? When I click on Tune-up Parts (Plugs, Filters, Gaskets, etc.) nothing comes up.

the 09+ stock filters have the same size as Mobil1-M110, K&N HP-1010,etc.

but 09+ stock filter's relief valve rate has been doubled. so "regular" filters not going to work well for 09+ engines

Tired of BUGGING ME HEY???....MMMmmm you have never asked me..

To answer your question...

NO, you should not use ANY other OIL Filter other than the ORIGINAL 09 one which is Longer than Original Series 1, and as pointed out has a HIGHER BY-PASS PRESSURE Valve...DO NOT USE SERIES 1 Or K&N.

AFAIK, No other After Market Company like K&N Makes an oil filter for the Series II.

AND YES, any larger filter than the Original 09 will just not fit because of an alloy flange and room.

SEE Below THE ALLOY FLANGE THAT GOES AROUND THE BACK OF THE OIL FILTER BODY.....

My website is in terrible need of integration. You can't get into the store from the other sections. My apologies.

I'd actually be inclined to go cheaper in a group buy perhaps (Minimum order 3 each person maybe).

Paul.
