Does anyone know if the thermometer in our cars can read below 1 degree F? There were several days so far this winter that were below 0 but the lowest reading I ever saw was 1 degree F.

 

I thought I've seen mine go into the - degree range.

 

Me too, its been a while since I had it out when it was that cold.

 

Mine has definitely displayed negative numbers - unfortunately.

 

I hope I never find this out.

I have seen it a few times but that is because it is a in Celsius

 

Just think, the colder it is outside the colder the air flowing over your radiator and into your intake.

 

Your mileage also decreases though since the colder, denser air requires more fuel for the proper AF ratio.

Remember where the sensor is located. It's warmer there and out of the wind.

-36................that's insane!

I kinda which ours did what my last vehicle did and that was at about 33-34 degress it would flash "ICE". It was a good reminder, but at -36 it doesn't really matter now, does it!

 

Don't have to run the a/c much, between September and May......

I'd still rather not run the heat.................ugh! I hate the heat on in my car......... probably as much as you hate having to run the A/C.

I thought I had a cold picture at negative 17 degree F in my car... negative 36 wins.
