About the rear camber on a lowered RX8. Anyone knows about this product ?

Megan Racing Control Arms and Camber Kits for 2005 Mazda RX8

I have/had them on my car. After 3 or 4 track sessons I noticed that the rear end felt different. First thing I noticed was the camber arms had a definite bend in them. They are quite long...and they take a lot of stress...especially when they are bouncing off curbs 😎. I rebuilt them using larger diameter chrome moly tube and they have been good ever since. I'm not sure that everyone will have this issue...but that's what happened with mine

as per the thread issue.....don't always have time to notice what/where all the threads get posted.

Any other brands with better record ?

Will call Mazdatrix and Racing Beat to see if they have anything for this matter.

Petit Racing also has good stuff.

Checked Wisefab

A little too much for what I do

Looks great but perhaps overkill for me

Japspeed has them. They look suspiciously similar to Megan "Racing's" offering, though.

I have the full set...and like I said the camber arms gave me troubles with bending until I remade them with crome moly steel...all good now. The other arms have been OK. They are not as long so the stress levels are lower and they don't bend

Found out what the knock was about in my front suspension

It was the racing beat front sway bar on stock end links

It was the links

Disconnected the links and noise was gone

Installed RB performance end links and noise is gone for good with sway bar re connected

Curious thing is it did not sound before with stock suspension and RB sway bar, nor later after installing the Ohlins suspension

The noise came on to appear only after a couple months driving on the Ohlins

Nice to drive again w/o that knocking sound and good to know it was something this minor

Did my front brakes too 😊👍

Hi all!

Does anyone have any input on springs?

I bought a used '05 and it has Tokico Dspec shocks on it with Tein springs. Since my wife will be driving this as well (gets me approval for owning it), I wanted to change the ride height back to closer to stock.

Does anyone have any input on decent springs that are not that much of a drop? I'm looking for .5in max. I also have the stock springs (came with the car), will they work with the Dspec shocks? Or do they need a lowered ride height to work properly. I guess what I'm asking is do the Dspecs have the same travel as stock shocks.

Thanks in advance!

I ran D-Specs with stock springs for autocross for a while. They work fine.

I have Tein S techs with KYB's. Drop wasn't too severe and the ride was greatly improved.

Racing Beat springs are good and no dramatic drop

Or as mentioned before new stock springs work good

Now....price of stock springs at dealer might be higher than Racing Beat or other aftermarket

Koni has good springs as well as Eibach

I'll probably go with the racing beat springs. I have the stock springs (came with the car), but I'd like something a tiny bit lower.

I have seen 8s on RB springs, and they look good. Lowering is maybe a little over half an inch, which is a nice conservative amount that reduces the gaps in the fenders, but doesn't look silly low (like my car does).

I installed the progress tech springs, hoping the drop amounts would even out the gaps in the fenders a bit more. But after a week, the front is still high whereas the back lowered about half an inch.

All this drop talk is confusing.

My ride height when new was around 14inch front 13.5 rear, and I wanted to raise it.

I put a Bilstein B12 kit and got suspension where I wanted it at around 14.25 or 14.5 inch but it's advertised as a .7inch drop in front, and 1.4 inch drop in rear.

Car feels flat and takes bumps much better.
