supporting the engine

i got some new motor mounts to switch out my old ones. i was wondering if there is a way to support the engine without using a hoist? would i be able to support my car with jackstands and use a floor jack to support the engine?

hopefully i will switch them out when i verify i have the correct engine mount bracket. the one i got does not match the one in the TSB for worn out mounts.

i have the F185-39-021 and the TSB calls for F1Y5-39-020.
