I woke up this morning to find what I think is super glue run down my trunk... I need to find a safe way to remove it without damaging the paint.

 

Go to walgreens, get 90%+ isopropyl alcohol. Get paper towel an try rubbing it off with that.

If that doesnt work then you can try sanding it out.

 

Ill get the alcohol today and let you know what kind of results I get.

 

+1 on the alcohol. I had to use super glue on a couple circuits and usually acetone was the go-to for cleanup and removal. Alcohol was the next best thing, it wasn't as powerful but you definitely cannot throw acetone on your clearcoat.

 

^ Agreed against acetone (obvious). If alcohol does not work, tried soaking it in WD40. WD40 is also safe on paint.

 

Thanks very much on the alcohol. Picked up some rubbing alcohol and the glue came off with a 5 minute soak, no paint chips. Greatly appreciated.

I know what you mean. I live in the dorms on shaw afb in sc. Everyone is always hating on me and my friends s2000.lol The only other rx in the dorms is this guy with a bb 8 and he has these horrible chrome rims and this ricey sounding exhaust. He works in my AMU too...

I saw somewhere in an episode of Hot Rod TV, they were using a heat gun to remove stickers. I wonder if that will work with super glue. On another note, I was stationed with the 1st MAW in Iwakuni and Marines be hating on other Marines' sports car. An aviation mechanic Marine once told me: "If you really want to mess with someone's car paint, use a brake cleaner..."

if u want the best, try to get a can of Acetone. it cleans everything sparking clean, it even removes wax on the first wipe. and its safe for paint.

 

U.S. born or legally residence middle easterns could be in the U.S. military. When i was in the U.S. Army back then, i've seen a few middle easterns in the U.S. Army...why not?!
