Stripped thread installing Mass Air Flow Sensor - could use some assistance
So I think I stripped ond of the screw threads when I was installing my Mass Air Flow Sensor. My question is, can I add something to the existing hold (like a glue or something) to allow me to re-thread it. Or am I gonna need a new air box?
TIA

You could try putting some jb-kwik in the hole, let it set up a little bit - then screw into that. You could then back out the screw and let it finish setting and you should have a decent thread in it... You're going into plastic I assume?
I have had good success in the past with JB-weld and JB-kwik for this kind of stuff. Currently my gear shift **** is has JB-weld with a thread tapped into it..
Simon.

Or you can also find some plastic which is "HARD"... or of a similar type. and melt it with a lighter into the hole...then place/screw the screw into the melted plastic..let it set..and then back the screw out and clean up.
It is, after all, just plastic..it can be bent and re-formed..unlike wood.
