I put a straight pipe on my 04 Rx-8 and some spark plug foulers to try to stop the check engine light from coming on but it still come's on after i driver it for a little bit the code is p2270. So I was wondering what i need to get to stop the engine light from coming on or want you guys put on your car to stop the check engine light from coming on?

and the only thing that i found was to use spark plug foulers and they didn't work for me so i don't know what else to try

yeah you didn't search this website, pretty much everywhere it sayd don't use foulers. put the sotkc exhaust on and the light will go out.

 

Get a Cobb Accessport. It has many functions, but one of them is to mask unwanted CEL's. They can be bought here used, or from Mazdamaniac new.

 

Cobb no longer supports the rx8, so to purchase just to remove a cel is extreme. Search MazdaEdit.

 

Just put a piece of electrical tape over it.
