For those that saw my post about 3 months back.. I am getting my car back out of involuntary storage... suggestions to make sure car is not affected by long period of storage/not running... I aired tires to 45psi, put in gas care product, and pulled battery which I placed on a trickler during the time it was out of the 8. I also changed oil before storage and plan to do so again before storing for winter.

 

That is about it. This is my 3rd year storing my 8 (October - May) and that's all I do, other than a good cleaning and waxing. Depending on where you store it you might want to plug up any exterior holes (exhaust, battery vent) to prevent rodent from getting in.

Military...(deployment) most likely.
I had my 8 stored for 11 weeks this summer and I didn't take out the battery and it still started up just fine (I didn't set the alarm).

 

Left my car with my brother...has 29k miles now...when I get back in a few months...if that thing has over 31K miles....i'll be whooping some ***.....

but yes i've stored the 8 for 6 months and just disconnected the battery...left as little fuel as possible....and drained the oil.....oh yeah also put the wheels on cardboard

 

storage is tantamount to abuse.

 

Put some fuel injector cleaner in it when you have 4 or 5 gallons left. Then run till she is empty.
