I'm looking forward to do some experiment on the stationary gears' brass sleeve. Is the oil temperature reflect the actual temperature on the sleeve (or with minor different)? I'm having something rated at 140 celcius (284F) and it will be a lot smoother than brass after run in. Minimal expansion when heated. Harder than brass. Thanks
