I think they are worth it, I read some dino mag and they added more ponies than an exhaust would, it makes a smoother curve, but it all depends on your car so you would have to play with it (the grounding point) just put them were it tells you on the components and the find different grounds to place it. but I think if you find solid grounds the different has to be very little when you move them i hve mine on the strut and the walls. i put a pic to help, when you ground to strut take another cable from the same point to the wall

I dont know how much they will help, but they cant hurt. It sounds like a great idea...better grounds should make everything electric function better. I wouldnt put a lot of hope into it give you more power... if anything it might get better grounding to the motor and give better spark that could improve throtle response...thats about all i see happening.

I wouldnt buy one of the $150 ones that are name brand...make your own or go for one of the $50 ebay ones.

I have the Lineage. It does help even though you don't know it does.

Be careful with ebay wires. Mine have these features:

I have the lineage also, and at the very least they really did improve the sound quality and loudness of my stereo.

I would say that they improved throttle response also, but I installed them with the RB ram air, so it my be a combined effect.

sounds like Monster Cable

This sounds like the Monster Cable phenomena with stereo speakers. Looks good, costs a bundle, but doesn't do squat over lamp cord. I'm not trying to be a cynic, but the chassis is metal so what additional ground is really being provided?

I'm a rather liberal interpretor of Butt Dyno improvements and would probably convince myself this made a slight improvement if I installed them, but this sounds far fetched even to me...

By the way - R Flash improved my acceleration significantly! :D

Do it yourself. Save your money and go to your local hardware store to buy heavy gauge wiring and connectors. Just follow the car's own grounding points or copy an instruction sheet off one of the eBay vendor (I've seen it so it's there) and do it for about $20. If it doesn't work as well as you expect then at least you're only down $20 instead of $150.

Do us all a favor and post a DIY thread when you get done.

Guys, check the previous threads on this. I believe they were posted about a year ago, on new rx8's. People said it did improve throttle response, and there was a dyno that showed a gain of 3 horses. That could be because of the dyno run itself, but then again, it might not.

do not use wire that you would find at a hardware store. it will not be of sufficient quality or flexibility.

go to a car audio store, as they will have good quality 4 guage wire and connectors, and it will also look better than hardware store wire.

Thats what I thought too.

then I did an experiment and hooked up some heavy duty wires to my rx8 and I noticed a diiference. I ordered lineage, very good quality good looking wires.
