Sound after turning car off
Since I just got the car yesterday, maybe I'm hypersensitive to anything weird, but I came home tonight from eating out with friends and when I pulled the car into the garage, stopped it and got out, there was a strange sort of low whirring sound coming from the back of the car, it sounded sort of like the car was still idling after it had been turned off. It stopped after 45-60 seconds I would guess.
Is this normal or something I should be watching for in the future? I've also noticed a lot of heat pinging sounds after I turn it off but I figured this would be normal for such a hot running engine.

Are you sure the noise was coming from the rear? The cooling fan turns on automatically even shortly after the car is turned off. It will run for a few seconds then turn off.

Well at least I know it's not anything to worry about. I wouldn't have a problem with the fan running, it was just strange hearing something coming clearly from the back of the car for the first time. Thanks Snap-On.
