Wow! I didn't realize I was 3rd out of all the N/A's that were on the dyno. Glad to see BHR putting up some good numbers!

I suspect some of the issues with the Nitrous were more fuel related than anything else. I know that both Erick and Charles were running rather rich but since the stock o2 WB only goes to 11:1 it's only a guess as to how rich they were running. In the case of Erick I think he was running a 75hp shot with a 75hp fuel nozzle. Had he backed off to a 65hp fuel nozzle he might have seen more power. Still, the problem is he had some lean spots which could have been dangerous with less fuel.

Still, the Nitrous with his automatic hits really hard. He's about snapped my neck a couple times hitting the juice.

Jedi put down some killer numbers. 200whp with some moderate modifications and a tune is really impressive.

Thanks for posting those dyno sheets!!

I just noticed that my chart is only showing 7.5 k Jeff took it to 9 though so that's why my numbers are screwy...

Geez, rough freaking crowd in here... first 2 posts and they're both questioning me.
Yep...most of you need to know the "UNCORRECTED" is not a true measurement...it has to be in "SAE" for the numbers to be accurate...

As soon as I repair my valve issue and redyno I'll update this post...and punk Jedi in the process...

Heh

My understanding was uncorrected values are values which take into consideration the environmental conditions of the time of the dyno. Using the SAE correction is supposed to show power output as though the dyno was taken in a controlled environment.

I think the SAE is supposed to allow you to compare your results with other dynos but we know that isn't accurate either.

UNCORRECTED is basically what the raw output the dyno saw...

SAE factors in the variables for the "correction" so it's closer to an accurate measurement in the "real world".

yeah, that was definitely a TON of work we put in to get all those cars done in one day. First car was on @ 9:00 am and I think we were cleaning up shop around 8:30 pm. Not too bad considering we had 4 new turbos that were basically seeing boost for the first time EVER and had to get significant tuning.

I dyno'd 190 whp at SR Motorcars a year and a half ago. The RP supercat + AP really helped

Your numbers are awfullyd deceiving because that nitrous kicks in with break neck force in your car. Yours FEELS much stronger then a 180 hp car

yeah man, nicely done! You had to come up big for the BHR guys because THAT'S HOW BHR ROLLS!!!

My goal was always to break 200 and it was awesome to see that happen with a little tuning. Next up is 300 whp...

nicely done Michael! You and I have almost the exact same mods though so a little tuning could go a LONG way for your car.

I was originally going to just graph out the high pulls but just for you Shaun, I tried to put all of them on one graph so we could see the improvements / changes.

That is because FI cars don't need/shouldn't use correction.
They make their own atmospheric conditions.

Just noticed something interesting about apocalypses' dyno . His curve is very smooth - would like to know if he shut off the aux ports and vdi ? what psi was he running ?

I dunno what a VDI is... But I know that he was running around 6 or 7 and spiked at 10.. But he did have one of the nicest curved graphs it was simple perfection.

We learned a few things and reinforced things we already knew

1) Spark plugs and coils are VITAL to keeping an 8 running well.
2) Cats can go bad quickly, we think that's why Newcastle dyno'd in the 170 range when last year he was 194 on that same dyno. (he's got about 50k on his car)
3) Tuning DOES help! Look at one of my first pulls and then look at my 202 pull.

Things we learned:

Greddy's turbos are fun and when put together properly can result in some pretty nice numbers.
Apocolypse learned that the greddy intake isn't quite the P.O.S. we thought it was going to be.
