Sludge in oil with less than 1,000 miles
I have owned a brand new 2005 for only two weeks. At my second fuel fill I dutifully checked the oil. I was surprised, maybe even shocked to see what I would call sludge on the dipstick! I am 50 and have done dozens of oil changes on various family cars over the years, and it has never been a good thing to see foamy beige gooey stuff on a dipstick, and in the top of the dipstick tube.
Is there something about the rotary engine that makes this normal, or should I be taking this car back to the dealership tomorrow morning?

Do not bother taking it to the dealership. From what I've read, this happens to the oil when cold. I have only seen it once because I check my oil soon after the car has been turned off. I heard that once the engine heats up it then burns off the milky substance.
