Sensor Info?

So lately I have been thinking alot about data accusation and info. One thing I do not like.... a ton a gauges everywhere~! I want to be able to pull and log as much data as I can and not spend a ton of money on the high end race units.

This search of course led me to Innovate. I could go on and on about how great I think there product is. I will not.

The one thing that has me very very curious is the integration of our factory WB O2 sensor with the Innovate OT-1. Has anyone done this? I know a few people such as MM use these gauges. Would you trust the Data logs from the OT-1 reading the WB sensor in the tuning of your engine?

So with this:

http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/ot2.php

We would also add accessories like the thermo coupler interface, AF sensor, etc? Time to get an IPOD touch.

Already have on . It should also be able to display any other innovate sensors also..... Its like having a all in one gauge in your freaking ipod man.

I just want to know if will read our front sensor as a true WB.

Well, my oil temp gauge uses a K Type thermo coupler so it should work too with there devices. I am not sure whether it will work with our wide band but I do know that the quality of wide bands vary and I would assume the OEM one is a good one. There is a good article on wide bands on www.motoiq.com

I like the PLX stuff.... it just dose not seem as innovative and easy to use at the innovate stuff.... really no pun intended. Nope no end in site for the Cobb.... it is a Great tool for reprogramming the ECU. I am looking more into Multi data logging from both aftermarket sensors and obd2. My Huge big large question is Can any of these multi logging readers properly read the stock WB sensor.

PLX stuff is nice. I wonder just how big those modules are, too bad they don't make on that can accept multiple sensors. I guess it would help to consider the ease of use for the software as well.

Mazurfer are you data logging with yours?

No, I not currently datalogging......just monitoring.

Just and FYI....here's the size of the modules and they kinda lock together. I do really wish they made one with a bunch of sensor inputs though. I mean the OBD II sees everything on the bus, but then you have to start adding separate sensor modules.
2" x 2.875" x 1.125" (52mm x 75mm x 28mm) L x W x H

Oh, so those modules are pretty small, they look a lot bigger in the pictures. Most of everything is on the factory ECU but I have added Oil Pressure and Oil Temp gauges. The only other I could think of wanting to add is a wideband A/F.

Yeah, they aren't real big. I have heard of at least one person who has 8 of them in the glove box. Mine one OBD II DM-100 box right now is tucked up under the dash to the left of the steering column.

Glove box is not a bad idea actually, I wonder if those units daisy chain.

Yes, they do.
Check out the PLX site..............there is actually a lot of info you can see and get to from that site.
Think you can daisy chain up to 32 boxes.

Here's one example............. http://www.plxdevices.com/iMFDConnectionDiagram.html

Yeah.............I'm not touting PLX devices per say, other than I do like mine and they seem to have quite a few cool options/devices.

I'm just merely proving the OP with other possibilities.
I'm sure each has person has his own needs and each company has advantages/dis-advantages.

Okay thanks for the input guys.

Here is what I want. I would like all that I currently get on my Scan-gauge II (most of what the ECU puts out) and A/F ratio, oil temp and oil pressure on one single display that can display more than one data point and I not have to use a magnifying glass to read it. I need it to log this data as well obviously.

Now the software interface for this is important but honestly as long as I can get the data and read it pretty easily then that is about it for logging. Fancy graphs and the like are a nice bonus but I am not a professional racer so I really just want to get a good handle on how my car is performing.

Options so far are:
Innovative OT-1 or OT-2 (but I am not looking to buy a Touch or iphone because I have an extra laptop) I would need to call them and see what exactly is needed to add oil temp and pressure. Can't determine good price because the site confuses me and they don't answer emails.
http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/ot1.php

PLX iMFD Datalogger + oil pressure + temp module + wideband and controller = roughly $700

I just really want to know If there are any data loggers out there that can read/log/display our stock WB o2 sensor and read as such.

The plx stuff is very nice and looks like it can really hold up well. A bit of info about a test the motoIQ staff conducted.

Yeah I am wondering if I went with the Innovative stuff would their wide band be mounted downstream from the stock one? I like a lot of what the Cobb offers except all I really want from it is the tuning capability. $700.00 is a lot just to get 10-15HP on a NA car. I am thinking I will go RB header, res mid pipe, catback, and then dyno her and see where I am at. Ideally I would be happy with 225WHP in a reliable fashion.

My immediate goals are suspension and cooling. I want to be able to see as much data as I can.
