seat rotor removal?
I've been wondering the same thing. I tried to compress the padding around the "rotor" from the back of the seat to get a better look how it is fastened and it looks like it is snapped securely into the seat back sheetmetal, and its removal would leave a gap between the front and rear upholstery and an exposed steel edge. The halves look like they aren't made to come apart without breaking tabs or something.
Personally, I think they look kinda cheesy, and just a rotor shaped hole where they are located would have looked better, and plenty rotor-like.

sounds to me like this is one of those little things that you need a lot of work to do. have you taken the seats out of the car yet??
