Looking at buying used seats, but the owner is not sure if the airbag has been deployed are not. I have 2 questions:

1: How do I check to see if the airbags have been deployed after the seats have been removed from the car?

2: How much would it be to replace the airbags in the seats (individually)?

visually inspect them? if there are rips where the airbags are supposed to be then its probably been deployed.

If you can see the seats before you buy them place them in your 8 and plug in the connectors. If the air bag light doesn't come on the seats are fine.

How do I get to the airbag in the seat, by removing the cover? Will that cause damage to the seat/airbag?
