Scanalyzer

I got a look at the production Scanalyzer yesterday. I LOVED the graphics outputs, and the ease of use of the program. It was very easy to use.........
Except.....damn...the data logs are a PIA to use to get a useable Graph.
Isn't there an easier data format to use to get outputs to excel.
I am not very literate in Excel.......so I think that I am with the majority of users
Is there anything that you could suggest to make this easier??

Is ther esome different way to output the CSV file? so teh time is repeated over and over for each value. time as a Type like rpm, speed etc so it would be time, rpm ,speed withthe values under them instead of time, type, value - time ,type, value etc etc?
the other thing is there is a pparently another way to sort in newer versions of Excel that i dont have in my version. there is a way your "sort" and then it will ask you if you want to "expand". when its done it is sorted much like the pivot table way but you have more freedom to chart etc. or at least more than i felt i had using pivot table. the info is just values under headers with time as one of the headers. and then you can just chart any of the values on any axes you want.
edit- of course this conversation cold be done via email to them as well. they have a support email addy

Guys, I hear you. I wanted this feature (different logging formats) to be in the first version but it got cut so we could get it "out the door". I'm working on a big update at the moment and it will include some changes around the logging to make it easier.

OK... last followup to my own posts... I promise
I've written a utility to convert the log files into the format you requested. Details are here: https://www.rx8club.com/showpost.php...&postcount=684
