Scan Gauge Problems

I only get a voltage readout on my scan guage when i put it in my RX-8. The gauge works fine in other cars.. What is the problem?

What kind of scan tool do you have? The RX-8 is CAN. A regular OBD-II scanner won't work.

scangauge I or scangauge II? You aren't forcing protocol on the gauge to something other than CAN are you? Have you tried using the reset to default?
