i think your feeling get hurt first...

 

If the rx8 is your daily driver i would not drift it.

 

Guess I'll throw down my 2 cents. Will it hurt your engine? do you have proper fluid levels? If the answer is yes then you most likely will not hurt your engine. you may hurt a few rocks and possibly a snake or squirrel though. think of the animals and rocks.

 

Since you are asking, no it is not safe. It will however earn you mad respect from your local street crew when you totally destroy your car while attempting to drift.

Go to a drifters track event. Do it there.

but to the second thing you said i say this..... driving your rx8 is harder on the tires then them sitting there...... but you still drive it dont you?

i bought the car, to slide the car.... and then put sticky tires on it to go around corners like a ****. 9.5k was nice too.

 

no just sitting there the tires will develop flat spots which wont happen if you are driving it. its must better for the tire to be driven.
