RX8 issues :(
Hey, I bought my car in April and waited 2 months to get it shipped to me. Anyhow I have had it for 2.5 months and am not to sure if my issues are normal 8 "behavior" or if there is something wrong with it.
If I let it warm up then drive a short distance, under 5 miles turn it off and then try to start it back up it will just keep cranking over. Is this normal???
the other thing is if it is sitting idle the exhaust will sputter...I just dont know. I took it to the dealership and they said it was fine and everything was normal.
Today it started beeping at me, i had the key in the ignition and it beeped five times and then stopped...never did that before either.
Please help!
The only mods that are on it is aftermarket pulleys...I think

What year? Did you buy it used or new?
Lot's of detailed info here when you start to search the threads... but you are going to be looking for coils, spark plugs, starter ... at least for now.
If you have an 04 (and maybe 05) you are more likely to suffer from these ailments. And it depends on how many miles are on the car.

Well the problem with the starting is that you flooded the engine. These cars do not like to be turned on then shut off they need to be warmed up first if not you flood them and well they don't start if you read your owners manual you would see this is a problem they know about and it tells you how to fix it yourself. I'm not sure about you other issues though.Hope this helps.

And driving it nearly five miles is sufficient to warm the car up it will not be prone to flooding. So I think flooding is not an issue.
How do you drive the car? Spirited? Hit the RPM redline?
Might be time for a compression test and possibly a de-carb.
May need a new engine. You have a 100,000 mile warranty on the engine.

Thank you guys....I am going to book an appt with the dealership and get all that^^ done.
I was also wondering if the weather could affect it...I bought it in Texas and had it shipped to Germany. The climate is SO diffrent that it makes me wonder if the plugs, wire etc. need to be changed.

To give yourself a known-good baseline, changing out the ignition components would be the best place to start ('plugs, coils and cables).
With that variable eliminated, if necessary you can move on to de-carbon, compression, etc.

I found out that turning ignition at 3k rpm even when car is warm makes wonders.
When i shut down mine at idle speed it take a while of cranking to start it back up, but when u rev before, it starts right away
