RX-8 locks up by itself within 30secs?
I'm not sure if this was addressed before; I didn't find anything using the search. I just installed the Alarm Shock Sensor Upgrade and now the alarms seems to armed itself within 30 secs after closing the last door. Is this part of the upgrade? Is this happening to others with this upgrade? Thanks for any info.

Yeah, but that happens only if you have unlocked the doors with the remote, but not opened any of them yet. If you have unlocked the doors and then opened and closed one or more of them, then opening and closing the trunk will not trigger the auto-lock function.
In other words, opening and closing the trunk is independent of the auto-lock function, which itself only operates if you unlock the doors with the remote, but do not open any of them for about 20 - 30 seconds (or whatever it is).
I've lost my manual or I'd point you to a page of it.
I once had a thread about how much this bugs me: I wish using the trunk would at least delay the auto-lock function.
