I recently picked up RS Type exhaust for my 8 I just installed it and on the the first start and run there was a little more smoke then with my stock exhaust and it almost smelled like a camp fire. My neighbor told me that it's normal because it's brand new exhaust and after driving it a little the smell started to die down. Is this normal?

Yes, it is normal. Is it catless? If so, you will always have some sort of smell, so get used to it - even though I hardly smell it anymore unless I come to a stop from riding it hard.
