People are making the assumption that Sulfur is the only thing that that can effectively lubricate the syncros and that a lack or lower amount of it must mean certain doom. This is just a lack of knowledge leading to the false belief that nothing else can be used in it's place. There's more to oil than Sulfur or a lack of it. Lots more.

Lol... Care to tell us other GL-5 fluids that do well in the RX-8 transmisson? As far as I remember Eneos is the only GL-5 fluid Flashwing has said it okay to use in the 8's transmisson. Now if im wrong why dont you post how im wrong other than just telling me im wrong...

Redline 75W90NS, 75W140NS, and Shockproof (heavy recommended)
note that if you go to the Redline literature for say 80W140 gear oil it very specifically warns not to use with yellow metal transmission parts etc.
now if you want to say that somebody posted information that you trust and it makes you feel warm and fuzzy about that particular oil then fine. The test that was run was only on the oil they happen to sell and only proved what some informed people have known for a long time.
Your original statement that it's the only GL5 oil is typical forum fanboi BS. The reason I don't go into detail because the battle has been fought numerous times already if anybody ever bothered to pay attention. Same fanboi BS, different day.
Lay off the koolaid for several months and dry yourself out ...

So the oils in Bold are the oils that are GL-5 and work in the 8's Transmisson or thats what you recommend to go into the 8's transmisson?
Now i never stated I knew everything about oils... Ive stated that im repeating what ive read, regardless if its wrong, seems to me that I trust BHR and their extensive research for oils (mainly Flashwing) is that there has been a problem when using Gl-5 Fluids in the RX8's transmisson, I myself dont have any data that proves this but I trust BHR's word on these types of topics. If i remember correctly Flashwing has tested more than just the Eneos oil for the transmisson, but by all means correct me if im wrong as im not perfect. Also, im a tad confused about how im apparently a fanboi if what I stated I read from one of the theads BHR posted on? Like I said I might have forgotten a thing or two but from what ive read GL-5 fluids seem to be a problem in the 8's transmisson, and ive stated that i read that. I have no reason to not believe what BHR says because they know what their talking about.
I do apprecaite your help, but the sarcasm isnt needed...

My .02
I used RP GL-5 in my car for the first 4 years and never had a problem; no grinding, no hard shifts, nothing. I am currently using the Eneos oil and am happy with the way it shifts so far. I think RG summed it up, it depends on how it is driven (and a certain amount of luck).
Without being accused of being a fanboi, Flashwing simply addressed the question whether the sulfur content in a GL-5 transmission oil was damaging to our tranny and he showed (according to Blackstone) that Eneos was not. He was very clear about the question he was answering.
I have never understood why people get so defensive and argumenitive about our oil whether it is the weight or the brand. There is no one right answer.

WTBRotary may have misspoken but it's clear he wasn't trying to do anything negative. Which means the first sentence would have sufficed.
