rough idle service??

I am probably going to take my car in to see if they can pin point the cause of my
rough idle. My question, should I put my stock air box back in or leave my sr intake in????

Ummmmmmmmm, have you tried the idle with the OEM airbox reinstalled? Do you still have the idle problem with the OEM box? Might want to test that before you take the car in to a dealer.

If you do take it in, for sure install the OEM box. Otherwise the dealer will very likely just take one look at the aftermarket box and blow you off.

Good luck with your rough idle. I've had the same problem for a while, It idles in normal range but when it goes around 750-800 it starts to shake a bunch.

So far they've changed front motor mounts, and replaced plugs, wires, and dist. I get much better gas mileage now, but still bad idle.

Be sure and let us know how it goes. It seems to be a common problem on the 8's.

My idle use to be smooth as ice until I had a PCM Flash 2 weeks ago.
Now my idle (while in gear / AT-stock) shakes the whole car.
To me, it feels like the exhaust system is vibrating against the under-body
or a motor mount is loose.
If I increase the RPM from 750 to 1K, the vibration disappears.
It does it in reverse or in drive.

I've taken it back twice trying to resolve this nuisance, I suspect they parked
it and never looked at anything on my 8.

Ive done a few motor mount replacements, make sure they do both of them, that almost always solves the problem for me
