Rotary Motor Premixing.

Hi fellow members, I am buying a Rx-8 soon and i am trying to do a good amount of research on things current owners do to get the most out of their 8. I keep reading all of these different sites and several mention premixing 2-cycle oil in the system. I would like to know if anyone would like to share with me the importance of mixing this and how it can harm/help the machine performance and longevity wise. All feedback welcomed. Thanks.

Yea, i saw that earlier. It still did not answer certain questions i had. I want to know if you have to mix the two oils or can you run all 2 cycle oil and if not, why not? just want to really understand the purpose of doing this so i can run my car harder, but safer and get long life out of the engine. Thanks for the link though!

Bingo!.... Yeah, that thread really covers a lot, so if it didn't answer your question you probably just didn't look thoroughly enough.... And yeah, premix goes in the gas tank at fill ups. Not with the rest of the oil

If you read all of the 120 pages, you will get pretty much every answer you need. I did it a few weeks ago. It took a few days of on and off reading to get it all in, but it's good info. Also look into the possible fail theory... https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-tech-garage-22/possible-new-renesis-engine-failure-theory-210194/

There is a thread down a bit about tips to enhance engine life... https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-tech-garage-22/my-sneaky-plan-extend-engine-life-series-i-190372/
