So I have been dragging my feet on going to buy new OEM roof moldings from mazda after the bodyshop damaged mine well beyond repair.

Luckily I have an email from pullapart show up that a rx8 has landed in a lot near me and I am going to try to go remove them from the car. I have found zero documentation on this; does anyone have any tips or insight on how to remove these properly without bending/damaging them? I know they have round snaps on them, and endcaps.

 

There are copies of the workshop manual online that show how to remove, but if memory serves me you slide it towards the back to unclip then just pull it up and off. I don't think you need to remove the end caps but you might in the back for clearance.
