Rev Buzzer?

Does the sport package of the Rx8 have the rev limit buzzer? I cant ever recall hearing it when I am "having fun" with my 8.

I haven't run up to the point where the buzzer sounds all that often yet, but there have been a few times when I don't think that I've heard it at all, most times I've heard it but it's been very quiet and a few times it has had substantial volume.

It's really been kind of odd.

All models should have it, it's not very loud and at first you need to really pay attention to what to listen for.

The engine drowns out most of the BEEEEEEP and more than that, the sirens of the police officers chasing me....needless to say they cant catch me.

I hit this on my second test drive. It was barely audible beneath the screaming 9000 RPM. I probably wouldn't have done it if the car wasn't their demo car with 7k+ miles on it.

All models have the rev lim buzzer. You shoud hear it daily or your not driving it right. It is really not hard to hear you just need to know what it sounds like and listen for it. It makes an excellant shift indicator. Next time you get in your car, turn the radio off, and floor it. Don't let off. You will learn much!

I do that and I DON"T hear the buzzer! Guess I need to have ther dealer have a look at the buzzer to make sure it is connected.
I do hear a sound like a distant ambulance siren when I am accelerating - but I'll post a new thread about that.
