Retrofit Cruise Control?

I don't know where to post this thread as I don't have a how-to guide to explain.

In fact, that's my problem... All the threads about retrofitting Cruise Control Buttons in an European S1 are lost or incomplete as they are pretty old.

I've installed the buttons and activated it into the PCM but they don't work.

I Know that I shoud change the brake pedal sensor for the 4 pin type and do some wiring.... But I don't know what more things I'm missing... Any advice? Or a complete post to read and see... I really searched but I couldn't found nothing complete....

Thanks!!

Yes. I red all the post and finally got some conclussions.

You should activate it via PCM (I did)

And you have to change the brake pedal sensor from 2 to 4 pin one (GJ6E-66-490)

That should be everything if you have all the preinstallation.

If not, you should do some wiring, for the Steering wheel and for the brake pedal. One for ground in both cases and other to concrete pins in the PCM, at least mine (231hp 2004 German) doesn't have any kind of wiring in the cabin as the UK post.
Looking in the diagram that I found here RX8 Electric Diagram is just a wire from the brake pedal to the 4P pin of the PCM and another wire from the steering buttons to 5V pin... But I'm affraid as that Diagram I think is from USA cars and maybe change to Europeans...

Maybe worth a shot to get in touch with Nathan Brighton, he does most of the cruise control conversions in the UK from what I know, so he should have more information and be able to help you out.

Majority of the forum posts both here and in the UK are rare and/or dead, it's all down to the facebook groups nowadays regarding the RX-8 as they're the most active.
