Sorry if this is a dumb question but I just wanna ask before I do it. Recently my headlights bulbs blew out and I need to change them. I just cant seem to figure out how to change the low beam bulbs. It seems like i cant reach them? which parts do I need to remove if it involves removing anything...I tried to google but cant find a single page about it. if anyone can post a diy instruction thatll be great. Thanks everyone. hope to find an answer, hate driving with my highbeams on. haha

those are phenominal writeups. if you have an owners manual for your 8, it explains how to replace the bulbs as well. the manual is not as detailed as the writeups, but will suffice if you blow a light on the road and need to replace it in the parking lot somewhere.

 

man just replacing low beam light bulbs is a pain in the *** for the rx8. would be so much easier if you can access it from under the hood. weaaaakkkkksaucee

Hey Zeta, when did Mazda make a "dark gray" RX8? Just noticed it in your sig...

 

started on 04 with the dark gray. the color was called Titanium Gray Metallic. in 06, the color changed to Galaxy Gray Mica. in 08, Mazda introduced the 40th Anniversary Edition of the RX-8 and it was also a dark gray color called Metropolitan Gray Mica. and finally new for 09 is Diamond Gray Metallic.

 

06 is just Galaxy gray.. mica came in for the 40th and beyond.

 

I was being sarcastic.

 

'06 is GG Mica. Other than a couple of "Something Metallic"s and "Brilliant Black Clearcoat", all of the '06 colors were "Whatever Mica." At least according to the brochure.
