Ok so I can't find a video for replacing the battery in my credit card remote. Checked the slit in the innards with a bright lite when I pulled the key out and it's impossible to see anything. Am I a candidate for an expensive dealer battery replacement or can someone help me?

There should be a rubber piece on the opposite side of where the key is. Pull that out and you'll find the battery in there.

When we had to replace the one in our CX-9, the dealer only charged us the replacement cost of the battery, that was because they had never taken one apart before haha. It was a Ford dealer that had just acquired a Mazda dealer brand also
