Replaced head?

Have any '04 owners replaced their stock head unit for a Sirius equipped unit that comes standard in the '05? I'm getting the runaround from Mazda. Apparently a memo exists saying that they "cannot recommend" it.

Any help would be appreciated.

From what i've read, the 04's and early 05's that didn't come equipped with the Sirius read HU do not have the proper wiring harness for the new unit. Replacing it would require the wiring harness replacement as well (which I imagine, might be cost prohibitive).
