well i gotta go in for a recal and a reflash on tuesday...i have a 2005 that has never been updated with recals or any of the flashes...so hopefully that will help...the carbon buildup can be removed with a little spirited driving right? gettin it over 7000 rpms or so occasionally...

Some people said FP60 is good stuff but I've never try them.

I use Redline stuff to clean mine, is running fine, 8 bux a bottle easy to get (for me) at local pepboys.

If you never rev it up then sure why not? this engine runs happier if u rev it. and try to read all the TSBs that applies to your car, when you go to your dealership on tuesday, print out the ones that you need and show it to them like *oh I got all these problems please fix them all*

yea...i actually know the guy that runs the service dept pretty well...when i got the car he told me to get him the vin so he could run it and see if it needs anything...theres the main emmisions recal and the gas tank one...i think...4206F and 3305G...also its back a few flashes...i know with the 4206F i most likely will have new plugs and a new catalytic converter...not sure any thing else...and with the 3305G i will need a heat insulator pad and anything that may have been affected by excessive heat...hopefully they will get everything fixed...just nice to know that my buddy will make sure i am taken care of when i take my car in!

Heat insulator ? thats the last last recall.

Damn, who had the car before you ? or should I ask how long has it been sitting on the lot ?

Its best to have an *insider* friend, now go read some TSBs and see what else need to be fix. say the rear light gasket. sun visor , etc

tskeltonPGA 09-17-2007 04:15 AM

wait where are the tsb's recalling rear light gasket, sun visor etc???

TSB is not recall, is Technical service Bulletin, which means a list of *known* possible problem.
