removing oil level switch from oil pan?

I have the pan off, clip removed from around the outside of the switch, but can't see from here how to remove it completely from the pan. The service manual makes it look like you just take the clip off and then it pulls through from the inside. Doesn't want to do that easily on mine so I'd rather ask than force it. Anyone else had to replace it and know what to do here?

Thanks,

Yup, that's how to remove it, use a rubber mallet and bang it out. It has a tight o-ring on it.

Yep, that did the trick. Just a little bit of force required while turning it.

Thanks!
