Rattling noise after cat swap-HELP

Hi everyone,
yesterday I installed a RP Supercat, Greddy SP2 exhaust, Richard Paul S-shifter, drop in K&N airfilter, changed the trans and differential oil to Redline. Driving it to work this morning I hear a rattling noise coming from under the console area. So i was wondering if anyone else have experienced this. Also the sound from the exhuast sounds more bubbly and raspy then i expected, thirdly when accelerating the exhaust seems lightly backfire at 2k rpm then 5k rpm.
I carefully installed everything and tightened all bolts w/ new gaskets.
Planning to take her into the muffler shop after work to have a hanger welded on to the cat.
any suggestions or similar experiences will help,
thanks!!!

i would double check everything first. the sound is there after you installed these items. so that could mean you might've left something loose. you have put on a high flow cat...you're gonna backfire more often than before. just double check everything.

any fluid come out of the trans when you did the shifter? i don't know what exactly you did, sorry i couldn't be of any help.

no fluid leak from the tranny so far, least havn't notice any thing.
if its an exhaust leak i wouldn't know what else can be done given that all the
pipe connections have a new gasket and bolts are tightened to the max.

adding the rear hanger will probably resolve the issue, I can't believe Rotary Performance is so lame as not to provide one, their excuse is no excuse ...

i took my car to the muffler shop and all the rattling noise was due to the cat tapping on the metal brace rite under it. so he simply added washers to distance the two and i also had him weld on a hanger. after these adjustments the car has no rattling what so ever and the initial back fire is gone and the exhaust is sounding alil better.
like everyone else who've changed to the RP shortshifter, this mod is bad ***.
i paired it up w/ a voodoo shift **** and now my arm lays flat on the console which is better ergonomically, along w/ the shorter shifts its great!!
