Radio Help Please!
Ok, so I was installing an MP3 adapter I bought. I removed the 2 plugs for the climate control and the plugs from the back of the radio and pulled the radio out. I then plugged the adapter into the cd changer port on the back of the stereo. I then plugged the radio ports into the radio, then the climate control ports back in and pushed the radio back into place. Now, I have no power to the radio or the display on the dash that shows you what the radio is tuned to. I can turn the fan on inside the cab to blow air for a/c or heat however I have no power to the button on the climate control panel to press for defrost, a/c, etc...
What did I do wrong and how? Just unplugged the connectors, installed new connector into cd changer port, plugged everything back and now its dead.

Pull the radio back out and check your connections.
You don't say what year your car is. Is it an 04/05? Do you have the right firmware revision in the radio that will support the new connector?

I have pulled it out several times, check connections, even took out the MP3 player mod. Still no power to radio and AC buttons do not work. The car is an 04 with version 9.55

Fixed it. Apparently when I was removing the stereo, I pulled the face plate of the stereo away from the unit itself just enough to where the face plate of the stereo was not making a solid connection to the unit. Once I removed the stereo and tightened all the screws that hold the face plate on, it works.
