Question about oil

I recently had my car serviced and they put in 5w-20, which is recommended by mazda. I was reading a thread and many people agreed that 5w-30 would be better suited for driving in my conditions. Is it okay to add 5w-30 next time i have to add oil or do i have to get a new oil change to switch to 5w-30?

Why add 5W30? Add 1qt. 20W50 to raise the 5W20 closer to 10W30 (it is summer, so 5W to 10W is OK too).

5-30, 10-40, 20-50 all works! But I dont know where you get your oil changed at. The dealer might not want to put 5-30 in it.
