problems after new motor from mazda. tech says that its running rich
hey guys i recived a new motor from mazda before i went to drive it home the tech said that im runnin extremly rich. they asked me about a flashed ecu which i did do a data log for my AP. I did this before i get a new motor. I borught my car to the dealer when it started to "bog" and "sputter" at about 4-5 k rpms. I reflashed my ecu with the "2004 MT reflash" from my cobb and still no change. Also with the brake pumping test still no change. he said that my injecotrs were spraying 25% more than normally causing it to run rich. so any help is awsome
Sounds like your MAF isn't reading.
When I forgot to plug my MAF back in, it was insanely rich, fuel spitting out the tailpipe rich, and wouldn't rev over ~4k from getting just drenched in fuel.

hey man I just got a new motor put in and picked the car up maybe 3 weeks ago. I'm having the EXACT same problem running really rich and it seriously bogs and then struggles moving past 5 or 6k rpms. Did you remedy this problem? any help would be very much appreciated man!
I'd look at injector wiring very closely. IT seams like that's the number one install mistake.
The wires are very hard to identify. The exposed wire ends fade badly and are very hard to tell the correct color. You have to cut back several inches of insulation until the wire colors are vibrent and clear.
Post a log of it giving you trouble and Idle.
