Power Question

Can someone tell me where in the rpm range you should start "feeling" the power?

Maintenance background:
Completely Stock, 74k miles, only Premium Chervron with Techron/Shell V Power gas(no premix), changed oil every 3k, new leading plugs at 30k(from dealer), new leading and trailing plugs at 55k, ran with original coils the whole time. All other fluids have been kept up to date with the maintenance schedule.

This week:
Cleaned my MAF sensor and just Zoom cleaned my engine. Replaced my coils and plugs with oem. Also changed my oem wires with BHR/MSD wires(thanks Charles) which seems to have fixed my rough idle which only happened when I would release the clutch in neutral(thought it might've been the neutral switch). The popping noise from my muffler seems to have gone away(misfires?). And the car instantly starts up now.

Because I have been driving for so long with what I think were weak/bad coils I'm not sure how my car should feel anymore. It's definitely more responsive and I'm not having the depress the gas pedal as much to get it moving. But it feels like I only get the Zoom Zoom past 4500-5000rpm. Just want to know if that's normal.

Thinking about Zoom cleaning my engine again tomorrow.. I didn't get too much smoke from the last time I did it and I was thinking that not having proper ignition could have something to do with that. My air filter has close to 9k miles of use so I'm considering changing that also.

Are there other maintenance procedures that I should check?

I recently finished school and tired of the partying, so now I'm bored and fixing up the things I've neglected like my car.
I've been lurking for years now and just want to thank everyone for the valuable information that I've gotten from this forum.

There should be a nice climb in power around 4500-6000 rpm or so. Basically what you are describing seems totally normal.

If you look at dyno charts, you would see that engine torque peaks around 6000 or so, and below that it is considerably less. Engine torque is really quite low at low revs.
