Unhappy Need Viagra for my limp rx.

It's started months ago when my check engine lightCaene on and after having the code checked it said my "secondary air induction pump" was the problem. The technician said it was just an emissions thing and nothing major to worry about. And since I've been in the slow season for my job I let it go.

Its always slower and weaker than when i first got it used with 68k miles on it and When I hit about 5k rpm the car bucks and then when I get to my power band at 6500 I get all my power back like it was new again up until around 7-8 when it bucks again and I have to shift and go through it all over again. In 1st and second gear it's not a problem. Only 3/4/5th gear it seems to happen and the check engine light would blink for awhile. Today it seemed to get even worse And in 6th gear at around 3-4k rpms it was running really crappy and sputtering almost and even more power loss.
I was taking a two hour trip and had to resort to sweet-talking my rx and a little light petting on the steering wheel to keep her from breaking down. I was that nervous. So now I need to bring it in to get this fixed but I don't know exactly what it is and I'm broke so I can't afford to do much. What can I do to fix the main problem or problems and how much do u think it will cost me? Please help! I rely on this car for my job and I can't afford to be without her. She's totall stock and I only run 93 octane and put down cleaner in at least one a month. Try to run her hard once a day but I'm a very aggressive driver so u rub her hard ten times a day at least. She's a black 04 with 103k Miles. Please help. What can I do to fix it and how much will it cost? Cuz the techs at liberty Mazda on Hartford don't have a clue what's wrong with it.

you are the KING OF ALL SEARCHERS!!!!!!!! an 8 year BUMP!!!

sounds like you need a new fuel pump. classic symptoms runs fine most of the time. if driven for a couple of hrs misses then stops.

btw, the flashing engine light denotes a missfire. could be fuel pump, also suspect are the coils..
