Possible TCS Malfunction...or not??

Hi Everyone, Last night a few of us in the DFw area ran our 8's around Texas Motor Speedway for a charity event. While I was out running my laps I left all my TCS and DSC on because it's the first time around a track for me plus this place has 24 degree banking in the turns and I wanted to stay safe I had my girl in the car with me. I was doing average 80-90+ through the turns and around 100 or so on the straight. At some point around the start of the second lap the TCS light came on and stayed on solid until the end of my run which was 3 laps. The car didn't feel any different during my run, when I came off I pressed the DSC OFF button and the the DSC OFF dash light would NOT come on. I parked the car and turned it off. Then turned it back on and all was fine and has been so far. So my question is what happened with it and during my run would you say that the TCS was off but DSC was on? I didn't try and turn off DSC during the run only after I pulled off the track. Here's info on the car, 2005 AT 76Kmiles RP Supercat RB Race Exhaust Sprint Springs Mazdaspeed Shocks stainless steel brake lines hawk hps pads slotted/drilled brake rotors, oil life shouldn't be a problem either it was changed not too long ago. Thanks for any help!

I really don't know, except that there are a number of situations in which the ECU gets "confused" and will throw a traction control warning/error of some sort. For example, if you leave the TCS engaged while running on a dyno, it gets confused by the fact that different wheels are running at very different speeds (the fronts are not rolling on rollers) and will often give an error. I'm suspecting that the very significant banking from the track might have caused a similar "confusion".

Considering there were no real issues and it completely reset by turning the car off, I think this is a reasonable guess and I wouldn't worry much about it.
This car's computer is smarter than all of us!

Ja, the ECU will give weird warnings like that.

Like the engine light will stay on because of a misfire.

You car is fine.
