How is the DSC/TCS recognized by the ECU?
I was looking at how to put a Renesis engine in a car other than an RX-8 (no I don't need any "why would you do that?" type questions, it's all theoretical at this point anyway
) and while many problems are present, I wondered how the ECU knows the DCS/TCS is present?
Specifically, if you were taking an engine, ECU, and associated parts from an RX-8 with TCS, would you get problems with the ECU wanting the sensors present, or does it search for these at startup and if they're not present goes to a "non-DCS/TCS" mode? Or the other possibility, the ECU is different for cars without this feature?

its a can module reading info from wheels speed sensors etc.. if the pcm didnt detect the module it would throw a cel . but since you wouldnt have the same dash there wouldnt be a light
