Possible DRL issue?
Sorry for making my first post a question but I've been having this issue for quite awhile and it destroys the enjoyment of my vehicle A LOT.
I have a 2004 Mazda RX-8 GT
My front left headlight doesn't work when my lights are switched on, and when my lights are either on the daytime setting or off the left high beam comes on. The left high beam only goes off when my E-Brake is active.
The steps I've taken to fixing the issue was bringing it to a family friend who fixes vehicles. He said it might be a Daytime Running Lamp issue (DRL). So he told us to go to Mazda and see if they can do it. THEN we brought it to Mazda, they said it was a burnt out HID, and wanted to charge us almost $800 CDN to take off the bumper and play around with lighting wires and apparently one light was burnt out, but it wasn't.. It came to almost $800 because the stock HID apparently cost $600 or something stupid like that. Lastly, I brought it to a friend, he said it was an HID headlight issue, so we paid about $150 to get that replaced. It appeared to work when I turned it on and off constantly at 12:00 AM in the morning, but the next day it stopped working again.
What is the issue here?! Has anyone else had an issue somewhat related to this? And I want to find a fix! Thanks

Where are you located? A few of the Cali guys have had issues with the rain since we arent really used to it and their fuses were poorly protected and got wet and had been shorting out and causing all sorts of weird electrical issues.

Oh I live in Chilliwack, British Columbia which is about an hours drive from Vancouver. Probably rain COULD be an issue. But I do recall us checking out the fuses and they seemed to be all dry and dandy.
