Plugs and coils

Some pictures of my plugs and coils - replaced today - 78k km
P0037 CEL for the rear O2 sensor also replaced today.
Thanks to R.P.M. for making it happen.

Coil replacement
Fluid in the intake
Bad O2 sensor (P0037)
new vs. old leading plug
Leading plugs, front, rear
Old plugs, front, rear
Trailing plugs, front, rear
Two of the old coils.

The plugs and coils were from http://www.finishlineperformance.com/ and the rear O2 sensor was from Mazsport on Ebay.

the problem that i get into when i tried checking my coils, is that large wire that is by or below the nuts that hold on the coils, that and the throttle body

Joe (R.P.M.) used a 1/4" drive set with an extension (4") and pushed the wire just out of the way.

Joe pulled off the intake rubber piece and then we pulled the air box out of the way.

It's a good idea to pull the plug wire before unbolting the coil.

ya they are 10 mm nuts. just use a long extension and kinda push the harness out of the way, its only in the way of the 1 coil the rest are eay. i just checked mine and looks like i will be needing new coils too .

I got 6 OEM plugs from online site for about 10 bux each, Yep OEM, Brand new, with Mazda name on it.

2 Hotter 6 plug, 4 OEM 7 stock range plug

Too bad they dont have trailing plugs for sale

Im gonna replace mine as soon as the weather gets around 60 degrees, for your reference is 28 degrees this morning, and now its 38 @ 10pm
